Who is Mahmoud H. Maki?
Mahmoud Maki founded MHM Global to connect multinational investment opportunities with the partners and capital needed to realize them — built from the ground up with more than fifteen years of B2B sales leadership and risk advisory expertise at the intersection of trade credit insurance, credit risk management, and cross-border trade finance.
Mahmoud served as part of a U.S. delegation for investment in Tunisia, working to advance cross-border investment ties between American investors and Tunisian markets. This work reflects MHM Global's core focus: building the relationships and structures that let capital move confidently across borders.
Before founding MHM Global, Mahmoud served as Vice President of Trade Credit Insurance Sales at Huntington Insurance, partnering with banking and carrier institutions to structure trade credit coverage for growing companies. Prior to that, as a Risk Management Consultant at Allianz Trade, he advised C-suite executives, controllers, and credit managers on trade credit insurance programs that safeguarded receivables, strengthened access to capital, and enabled expansion into new export markets — including the extension of open terms to overseas buyers.
Earlier in his career, Mahmoud advanced through a series of senior sales leadership roles across the financial services and telecommunications industries, building extensive experience in business development, client relations, and strategic growth.
Fluent in both Arabic and English, Mahmoud is deeply engaged in the Detroit-area business and civic community. He previously served as Board Chairman of the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Detroit Economic Club and the National African American Insurance Association. He also chairs two community initiatives dedicated to expanding youth literacy and access to educational scholarships.
